Several Civic Society Organisations (CSOs) from different parts of the County have today presented memorandum to the County Assembly in which they highlighted a number of complaints that they sought redress. The CSOs have accused the County of neglecting them when it comes to service delivery and development which has been lagging from the time the current regime took over. The CSOs condemned the County of laxity as several parts of the County still lack basic amenities such as clean water and essential drugs in dispensaries.
“The state of roads in the County is deplorable, our maternities and dispensaries have no drugs, and there are no even bridges to help people cross rivers,” noted Ms. Consolata Lomirio. The CSOs have also accused the County of refusing to make public the financial reports as required by law. The County Government of Isiolo has been under pressure to publish and publicize financial reports as required by the law but the administration remains adamant.
The County Assembly promised to act on the memorandum.
