21 days lockdown for Mandera
As the coronavirus cases continue to surge in the country, the Government has decided to place Mandera under lockdown for the next 21 days. The lockdown follows 8 more reported cases as the numbers are projected to increase in the next few weeks. The National tally currently stands at 303, with 14 deaths and 83 recoveries. Mandera appears to be another epicenter as the numbers now stand at 8 with several others in quarantine. A few weeks ago, about 32 individuals bribed their way out of quarantine increasing fears that community infections could be on the rise. The Government has put down measures to aid in the fight against the pandemic and is calling the citizens to heed the advice given.
