The Government is trying, but stay at home.

Covid-19 is not a joke anymore and as the whole World now witnesses increased cases of new infections and deaths hitting a record high. “If we treat this virus normally it will treat us abnormally, ” warned the Country Health CS Mutahi Kagwe. In as much as the Government efforts in containing the spread of Covid-19, there is so much we can do as citizens which we are all ignoring. It was in January when the 2 cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Italy and now the deaths stand at over 6,000. The cases in Italy spread so far and have now overwhelmed the Country with so many deaths each day forcing the Country to enter into a lock down.

The latest two victims, the priest who traveled from Rome and the Kilifi Deputy Governor is a good example of the huge danger Kenyans face from affected individuals who have refused to self-quarantine. The Kilifi DG has so far forced so many people into self-isolation with his carelessness and ignorance. The Country is already facing a tough period with a health sector that is on its death bed and if we are not careful we might be hit hardest with this Covid-19. However, the buck sits with us in the fight against Covid-19, let us ensure we maintain the highest level of hygiene and stay at home.
