Government to begin aerial sprays to curb locust invasion
The Government has ordered immediate spraying of chemicals to fight against the locust invasion in Northern Kenya Counties. In recent weeks the locust invasion has spread from Somali into Kenya seriously affecting the Counties of Wajir, Mandera, Garissa and new reports in Marsabit. The Government has despatched 3000 litres of chemicals which will be sprayed in the affected areas using helicopters to curb the invasion. The Government has assured the citizens of its commitment to curbing the locust invasion. The exercise is expected to commence with immediate effect.
