Majority Leader Responds to Wajir Women Rep Accusations
Majority Leader Aden Duale has today responded to Fatuma Gedi’ s accusation of been a divisive leader who has tried to disrupt her function last week. While not directly responding to whether he sent emissaries to disrupt her NGAAF functionp, Duale played the elder card and adviced Ms Gedi not to be a lone ranger and join the rest of NFD parliamentarians in advancing the interest of the region. ” Fatuma Gedi is the only MP who is not part of our group including all Mps from the region and she should tread carefully as the murky waters of politics will throw her off a cliff” said the Garissa Township MP. The Majority Leader who is the de facto head of Muslim parliamentarians by venture of his position in the party and in parliament asked Fatuma to stop going astray and “risk eaten by wolf’s outside the tent” implying her new Team Embrace and the handshake politics the Women Rep has joined.
In a quick rejoinder to the Majority Leader’s loner allegations, the Women Rep said “the fact that I do not agree with his brand of politics does not mean that I do not cooperate with my fellow parliamentarians and my brother should stop his condescending attitude towards us” implying the Majority Leader was disrespectful to women when he said “Fatuma is a woman and she should slow down.
