Fear Still Running High In Marsabit County
Fear still high in several parts of Marsabit County as residents continue to ran away from their homes for fear of retaliatory attacks. A total of 19 people have died and several others nursing injuries in the last three weeks since fresh tribal clashes hit the volatile area. Several leaders led by the Governor H.E Mohamud Ali have urged all leaders to speak in one voice and condemn the heinous attacks.
Police officers have already been deployed in the affected areas in a bid to quell the violence. Residents have been asked to surrender illegal arms before the police are forced to confiscate them. Some form of normalcy is returning to the affected areas as religious leaders and elders continue with peace making missions.
