“Reconcile Warring Parties” Says Garissa Women Rep
Garissa Women Rep Hon. Anab Subow blamed the “the disunity and infighting between the county Governor and the Majority Leader on the elders”. In a long speech she gave to a meeting of elders called by the Governor she said ” your lack of want is blinding you to the plenty you have” in reference to the county resources. The County Women Rep said the elders should reclaim their powers, distance themselves from indecision and summon those destabilizing the unity of the county. ” You should call the warring parties to the table and reconcile the governor and the township MP.” She said. This comes a day after Hon Duale accussed the governor of corruption and incompetence and Garissa elected leaders accused Duale of destabilizing the county and hindering its development.
Addressing Madarassa graduates in Bula Madina today morning, the Majority Leader went personal and attacked county leaders who he claimed are “busy chewing miraa and hankering over young girls”. The township MP said, in a veiled personal attack, “60 year old who is hankering after young girls and chewing miraa in Nairobi dens should instead provide water services to the residents”. No elected leader except the area mca attended the Madarassa event.
Duale claimed that no elected leader can match his development record. The genesis of the war between the governor and the Majority Leader is thought to be the ambitions of Hon Duale to contest for the gubernatorial seat currently occupied by H.E. Ali Korane. The two hail from the Yahya sub-clan of the Abudwaq clan, one of the 3 major clans of Garissa County.
