Low voter turn out as few cases of violence reported in Wajir West Mini-poll

Chaos was reported at Wajir Girls polling stations this afternoon where one person was attacked by the residents who accused him of bribing voters. There were also reports of onother person who was also attacked by residents before being saved by the police. The alleged is believed to be brother to former Wajir South M.P Abdullahi Diriye.

In some polling stations low voter turnout was reported. In other stations the BVR kits experienced technical hitches delaying the exercise. However, by the time of going on air most polling stations had closed down and the vote counting exercise is due to start any moment from now.
