Garissa KPR Personnel Neglected Claims Lagdera MP
The Lagdera Member of parliament Hon. Mohamed Hire called on Garissa County governor Ali Qorane to take more responsibilities on the Isiolo-Garissa counties border conflict and claiming the Garissa County KPR officers have been neglected. The MP said the KPR in Lagdera have been neglected by the county government. ”The Lagdera KPR earn a paltry 3000 shillings paid after 6 months while their Isiolo counterparts earn 30,000 shillings which the Isiolo County assembly is considering to review and increase” said the MP. Hon Hire said the welfare of the KPR should be looked into and claims that Isiolo KPR have a car with no number plate that operates in the border. The MP said he feels like a political orphan as the only politician from Garissa County invloved in the resolution to the conflict. The MP who spoke in anger and called Isiolo Women Rep Hon Rehema jaldesa ”indiscipline for insulting the security personell of Lagdera” said Governor Qorane should come to the ”rescue of the people of Lagdera and engage his Isiolo counterpart Dr Mohamed Kuti”.
The MP said he has been attending funerals since the day he was elected to parliament because of the security challenges between Lagdera and Isiolo.
