Garissa County employees have come out strongly condemning the Majority Leader Hon Adan Duale saying ”his utterances are reckless and irresponsible”. This is a day after Duale claimed governors are employing unqualified staff in the counties. They said employees are qualified and have the relevant experience to do the work they are are employed to do. They said if Hon Duale has evidence in support of his statement ”let him contact relevant agencies such as the DCI and the EACC”. The Garissa workers union said they apologize to workers from Northern Kenya and that Hon Duale does not represent the people of Garissa. They said the MP ”has a history of making hate speech against prominent personalities and institutions in the country and abroad”. They continued that Hon Duale has ” made war with the president of the country H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta, President of Djibouti and his wife the First lady, Chief Khadi of Kenya, the Kamba Community, Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Chief Justices and others”. They called on the president and his deputy to ”assign Hon Duale lighter duties because he is unable to carry the duties of that office”.
