Korane Allocates 60 Million to Garissa Students
Governor Ali Korane of Garissa County said his administration has allocated shillings 60 million to cater for the education of 2243 students in various schools, colleges and universities. Reiterating the importance of education the governor said despite many years of marginalization young people have not been discouraged from seeking education and urged students to pursue courses relevant to the prevailing market environment. The governor said his department of education is conducting an exercise to certain the number of students pursuing education to see whether the county government can pay for their fees. He urged students not to pursue micky mouse causes that may not help in improving their future.
