Police to hold terror suspect for another five days

A Mandera court has allowed police to hold a man suspected to be an Al-shabaab sympathiser for further five days so as to complete investigation into his presence in the country.Officers from the Ant-terror police unit(ATPU) had arrested the suspect, Mr Abdul Hassan Yamah popularly known as Somo Dubat Oukor on Sunday after receiving an intelligence report .
Mr.Yamah is a Somali National buy was caught having in possession of a Ugandan Identity card.ATPU officer Mr.Newton Mbogo said the man is believed to be a spy for the Sonalia based Islamic terror group Al-shabaab militant who are trying to overthrow the internationally recognized Somali federal government .
According to intelligence report Mr. Yamah acquired the Ugandan ID through a fraudulent means with the intention of executing and carrying out concealed organized crimes.This even comes barely after 21 people were killed and scores of others injured by suspected Shabaab gunmen who raided and attacked the Dusit D2 complex hotel located in Riverside, Westland last month.
The government has heightened security patrols with security personnel being on high alert to circumvent any terror groups from crossing into the country and carrying attacks on government offices, institutions, hotels and other entertainment joints where Kenyans usually meet.
