Senate summons Kuti over Sh. 345M Agreement
The Senate Health Committee has summoned Isiolo Governor Mohamed Kuti over a Ksh. 343 Million deal the County has signed with Living Goods for provision of community health services. The Governor is expected to appear before the community at 11 AM this morning to answer question about the criteria used to enter into the pact. A number of residents had written a petition to the Senate Committee seeking address over the legality of the agreement. The residents through Senator Dullo have raised concerns about lack of a proper Public Participation as well as the procedure followed in picking Living Goods without subjecting them through a competitive process. The Committee Chairperson Senator Michael Mbito assured the petitions that their issues will be addressed.
