NFD Counties Pose Impressive KCPE Results
Northern Frontier Counties have posted remarkable improvements in the just released KCPE Exam. Mohamed Isack from Moyale Junior Primary School produced 430 marks followed by Hudeyfa from Moyale Gateway academy. In Wajir County Billan Mohamed from Furqan Integrated Academy produced 426 marks emerging the top followed by Fartun Ismael from Al-Bukhari Academy with 409 marks. In Garissa County Mohamed Dayib of Young Muslim Academy was top with 429 marks followed closely with Abdirahman Adan of Al-Azan Academy with 428 marks. Isiolo produced an all female top two with Kirimi Mwendwa from High Vision Academy scoring 421 followed by Sakina Salad Kikuyu of Little Angels with 416 marks. In Marsabit County Hamida Aftin from Matarajio Academy produced 401 marks followed by Zakariya Ali Adan from Elimu Bora Academy with 401 marks.
There was a general improvement in the overall performance in the Counties with most schools showing improvements in their mean scores. The number of girls that scored over 300 marks also increased owing to the efforts made towards girl child education. An old man of 68 years from Marsabit scored 232 marks making record as the oldest student to sit for KCPE in the whole of NFD.
