Wajir County Women Rep Vote of No Confidence

A letter of  vote of no confidence against the Wajir Women Rep Hon. Fatuma Gedi Ali as the Chair of the Women Reps Caucus has been signed by at least 32 Women Reps. The letter seen by NFD Dispatch is addressed to the Cabinet Secretary Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs by Secretary of The Kenya Women Rep. Caucus Hon Irene Kasalu of Kitui County. The letter mentions her conduct and below expectations service delivery to the Honourable Members as reasons for the No confidence vote. ”We have removed her from being our chair with immediate effect and we will notify you of  our new Chairperson in due course” said the letter.

It is thought that the VAT Tax issue may be one of the reasons Hon Fatuma has been removed as the chair of the Women Reps Caucus. according to a source that wanted to remain anonymous who spoke to NFD Dispatch, the Wajir County MP was accused of bringing disrepute to the Caucus through alleged corruption including  bribing members during the sugar debate.
