Governor Kuti in Sh 70 Million Partnership with Living Goods.
Isiolo County Executive has today met with the MCAs to expound on a shillings 70 million partnership it signed with the p rivate health provider Living Goods. The County has been trying to improve the health sector by partnering with Private Providers in a PPP agreement. The Health Executive is hoping to convince MCAs to pass the bill and approve the agreement.
If the agreement is approved, the County hopes to train over 1000 community health providers to help leverage where there is serious manpower shortages especially in the rural areas. The deal will see the CHVs trained and provided with motorbikes, medical kits and installed Apps on phones to help expectant mothers, offer antenatal care, and assist in immunization campaigns with the aim of reducing cases of referrals.
The meeting which was graced by the Governor, Speaker and officials from the County Health docket is believed to be one in a series of several other engagements between MCAs and the Executive. This comes days after the signing of an MOU with two Private Health Providers. The Governor has insisted that he will ensure the whole process is transparent to avoid public outcry.
