Inspector of Police cautions politicians against inciting people in Marsabit
Inspector General of Police Mr. Joseph Boinnet has cautioned leaders in Marsabit against inciting the people and undermining the work being done by security personnels. A statement from the I.G reads:
“I have received very disturbing information that whilst the security team in Marsabit are overworking to continue the violence some identified politicians are underming the efforts.”
The police boss has ordered investigations into the conduct of the mentioned politicians with the view if charging and prosecuting them incase they are found to have breached the law. The I.G also urged the police to deal firmly with anyone found trying to cause chaos. The warning comes at a time when tension is still high in Marsabit, Saku Constituency.
